As per the notification, courts will operate from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM from Monday to Thursday and on Saturday, while on Fridays, court hearings will continue from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A short break will be observed during the day for lunch and prayers.
Officials stated that the decision aims to provide convenience to lawyers, judges, and litigants during the winter season when days are shorter. The revised timings are expected to help maintain smooth proceedings and prevent delays in case hearings.
Prior to implementation, all courts have been instructed to make necessary arrangements to ensure hearings proceed efficiently under the new schedule.
