Islamabad (Web Desk): The Supreme Court has launched video link hearings and advanced case management to improve access, efficiency, and public trust in the justice system.

According to an official statement, the use of technology will help ensure that court services remain smooth, accessible, and uninterrupted.

Lawyers and litigants from different cities can now join court hearings through video link. This will reduce travel costs and make it easier for people living in remote areas to access justice.

On March 24, lawyers from Quetta, Hyderabad, and Karachi appeared in court via video link, demonstrating how the new system is already working.

This step is part of broader judicial reforms introduced by the Law and Justice Commission to improve the overall system.

The court also said that in places where Supreme Court branches are not available, technology is being used to enhance connectivity and access.

In addition, case management has been improved to make hearings more organized and efficient. These changes are also linked to government efforts to save energy and improve performance.

With the reduction in weekly working days from five to four, the court has reorganized case schedules to avoid delays and ensure timely hearings.

Officials said that digital tools and better planning will help increase public confidence in the judicial system.
