Missing persons commission head Justice (retd) Faqir Khokhar dies at 80

LAHORE (Web Desk): Newly appointed Head of Missing Persons Commission Justice (retired) Faqir Muhammad Khokhar passed away at the age of 80.
Just a week ago, Justice Khokhar was appointed as the head of the commission. He had been unwell and was receiving medical care at Services Hospital in Lahore.
A statement from the Supreme Court confirmed that Justice Faqir Khokhar’s funeral prayer will be offered after the Asr prayer in Lahore.
During a recent hearing on missing persons cases, Additional Attorney General Malik Javed Iqbal appointed retired Justice Khokhar as the new head of the commission, succeeding retired Justice Javed Iqbal.
The funeral will be held today in Lahore, with the prayer scheduled for 4:15 PM, following the Asr prayer.
The Missing Persons Commission was first established in 2010 to investigate the cases of enforced disappearances.
