Punjab announces laptop and scholarship distribution in three districts
Distribution ceremony scheduled for October 15
Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced that the provincial government will distribute laptops and Honahar Scholarships across all nine divisions during October and November.
In a social media post, the minister said Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz would attend the distribution ceremony for students from Sahiwal, Okara and Pakpattan districts.
The event will take place at the University of Sahiwal on October 15. The laptop distribution Sahiwal ceremony will bring students from the three districts together to receive support under the government’s education initiatives.
The announcement has brought encouraging news for students waiting for updates about the Punjab laptop scheme and scholarship programmes.
Programme to cover all nine divisions
The government plans to hold similar ceremonies across Punjab’s nine divisions over the coming weeks.
According to Rana Sikandar Hayat, the distribution process will continue during October and November. The laptop distribution Punjab programme will therefore extend beyond the first ceremony, with further events planned for other divisions.
The Punjab laptop scheme is part of the government’s efforts to support students and improve access to educational resources.
Laptops can help students attend online classes, conduct research, prepare assignments and develop digital skills. Scholarships can also help eligible students manage education-related expenses.
What students should know
Students from Sahiwal, Okara and Pakpattan should follow official announcements regarding the October 15 ceremony.
The government has not yet shared the exact number of laptops or scholarships to be distributed at the event. Details about the number of beneficiaries at each ceremony also remain unclear.
