The program permits selected applicants to live in Germany for 12 months while seeking suitable work. During this period, they can work part-time for up to 20 hours per week to cover living expenses. Candidates may also be offered a two-week job trial to demonstrate their skills directly to employers.
To qualify, applicants must score at least six points based on language skills, education, work experience, technical abilities, age, and any previous stay in Germany. They must also provide proof of €1,091 per month to cover expenses while living in the country.

Required documents include language certificates, academic qualifications, employment records, bank statements, and identification papers. All applications will be submitted online through the Federal Foreign Office's digital portal. Once approved, applicants receive the Opportunity Card and can travel to Germany.
After arrival, they must arrange accommodation, obtain health insurance, and register with local authorities before beginning their job search.
