According to the school education department, all the public and private institutes will remain close from 22 December, 2025 to 11 January, 2025.

All the classes are set to resume on 12 January, 2025, with the same time table, marking the end of winter vacations.

Government break will be equal for all private and public institutes all across the Punjab.

This decision is also taken to tackle the issue of smog, it is noted that by easing the early rush-hour pressure, it is expected that a noticeable drop in vehicular emissions will be seen.

This decision is made to ensure uniformity all across the province and to provide a seasonal break to students and teachers.

Parents are advice to note official dates and make plans according to the dates.

The school are advised o complete all the academic tasks before the holidays and to be safe from any disruption in syllabus once the school will reopen.

The government has warned schools not to violate the rule, otherwise, heavily fine of Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 1 million will be charged, depending on the severity of non-compliance.
