A notification issued by the Education Department said that given the heatwave and expected rains, the summer vacation in all public and private educational institutions of Sindh province has been extended till August 14.

The notification said that other extra-curricular activities including the August 14 celebration can be continued in educational institutions.

The Sindh education minister said all private and public schools will organise programmes regarding Independence Day and after the holidays, the new academic year in Sindh will start on August 15.
