
Hailing from Jamke Cheema village in Daska, Shafay Ijaz previously served in the Punjab Civil Services before achieving this milestone. His remarkable success has brought immense pride to his hometown, where friends and family celebrated by distributing sweets.According to the recently declared results, only a few candidates managed to pass out of the thousands who appeared for the exams, with the overall pass rate standing at just 2.48 percent.
A total of 5,602 candidates took part in the examination, out of which only 229 candidates passed including 119 male and 110 female candidates.
The results revealed that 397 candidates had initially cleared the written portion of the exam, but only 229 were declared successful after the viva/interview process. Their appointments are subject to medical fitness clearance.
The first position was secured by Muhammad Shafay Ijaz, followed by Sana Rasool in second place and Momina Azhar in third. All three have opted for the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS).
Interestingly, 19 out of the top 20 qualifiers selected the Pakistan Administrative Service, while only one candidate chose the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP). Notably, none of the top 30 candidates opted for the Foreign Service of Pakistan this year.

Among the successful candidates, 269 were from Punjab, 33 from Sindh (Rural), 19 from Sindh (Urban), 31 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 22 from Balochistan, and two from Gilgit-Baltistan, while no candidate from Azad Jammu and Kashmir made it to the final list this year.
The appointments of the successful candidates will take place after the completion of their medical fitness assessments
