The purpose of the plan is to fill both teaching and non-teaching positions to enhance the performance of the institutions.
The School Education Department (SED) in Punjab has asked the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of District Education Authorities (DEAs) to submit the comprehensive recruitment plan for vacant posts. In this regard, a five-member committee led by the SED additional secretary has been constituted.
The Directors of Public Instruction (DPI) for secondary and elementary education, a deputy director of monitoring, an additional program director, and a department representative are also part of the committee.
The committee will assess the plans and oversee the process of recruitment. Moreover, the initiative includes integrating staff from outsourced institutions to bring in expertise, particularly for non-teaching roles.
The Monitoring Unit will help identifying schools with vacancies, compiling a list of staff awaiting posting, and ensuring that personnel are assigned to areas with the highest demand.
A senior official from the School Education Department (SED) told that the plan is designed to improve the quality of education by filling gaps. The purpose of the initiative is to improve the learning process, and raising the educational standards across the province.
