
In a ceremony held on Saturday by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore, Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting academic excellence by announcing continued efforts to promote merit-based education and financial support for high-achieving students.
The event celebrated students who secured top positions in the Matric and Intermediate examinations, recognizing their hard work and dedication. During the ceremony, the minister personally distributed laptops to the top-performing students as a reward for their outstanding academic achievements.
“The government is committed to promoting merit and helping bright students continue their studies without worrying about costs,” said Minister Hayat while addressing the gathering.
The laptop distribution is part of the Punjab government’s broader efforts to empower talented youth and provide them with the resources necessary for higher education and digital advancement.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials, including Chairman of the Task Force Committee Muzammil Mahmood, Higher Education Secretary Ghulam Fareed, Additional Secretary Boards Nauman Jameel, BISE Lahore Secretary Rizwan Nazir, and Controller of Examinations Tauseef-ur-Rehman.
Students, their parents, and teachers participated in the event, expressing gratitude to the provincial government for recognizing and rewarding academic brilliance. Many hailed the initiative as a strong encouragement for students to strive for excellence.
