FBISE introduces new syllabus for matric and intermediate classes

(Web Desk): The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has announced new syllabus for matric and intermediate classes.

As per FBISE official notification, the new syllabus will be implemented immediately in all the educational institutions that are affiliated with the board. FBISE-affiliated schools and colleges have been ordered to download the revised content from the official website of the board and start implementing it forthwith.

The board said the redesigned syllabus is based on contemporary academic standards and meets changing needs of education. It will improve the analytical, technological and practical learning abilities of the students.

All the areas including Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir and federal territory institutions, which come under FBISE will implement this new syllabus.

As earlier Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the government s vision for ensuring IT education under its overall digital transformation vision. He called upon federal and provincial education departments to provide top-class and uniform IT education across the country. The premier also ordered introducing IT as a mandatory subject from class six onwards, along with advanced IT training programs in all regions.

Officials informed the Prime Minister that facilities of the internet in schools in Islamabad are being upgraded to facilitate this digital transformation.

The launch of the new syllabus by FBISE is a major step towards Pakistani modernization of the education sector and making students competitive on an international level in today s digital age.
