The announcement was made during an interactive meeting with students and teachers of Balochistan Residential College Othal. The students met the minister as part of their All Pakistan study tour. The initiative will benefit all second-year students of the college’s final batch.

The minister shared that BRC Othal was established as a special gift for the people of Lasbela by his late father, former Chief Minister Jam Mir Muhammad Yousaf. He said the institution represents the Jam family’s long commitment to education and youth empowerment in Balochistan.

He also pointed out that Balochistan has valuable natural resources such as copper, gold, chromite, manganese, iron, and antimony. He said, “Proper exploration and utilization of these resources could significantly transform the region’s economy”.

Jam Kamal emphasized that students must continue their education without interruption. He said lost academic opportunities are difficult to recover.
He also highlighted new and promising fields such as biomedical sciences, neuroscience, and research. He stressed the need for modern infrastructure, including fiber optic internet, advanced laboratories, and innovation-driven universities.
The minister encouraged students to aim for top institutions like the National University of Sciences and Technology, which combine education, research, and industry collaboration.
