The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education decision affects 64 examination centres within Rawalpindi city.
The announcement came after the district administration declared a local holiday. Due to this, exams could not be conducted as planned in the city.
The board clarified that this decision only applies to Rawalpindi city centres. Exams in other districts and suburban areas will continue as per the original schedule.

The postponed papers include Urdu (Compulsory) and Geography of Pakistan in the morning session. In the evening, Urdu (Compulsory) and Urdu (Dars-e-Nizami Group) exams were scheduled.
BISE Rawalpindi said a new date for these exams will be announced later. Students are advised to stay updated for the revised schedule.
Candidates appearing at centres outside Rawalpindi city must follow the original timetable. Their exams will take place without any change.
This move is part of ongoing disruptions in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. In recent days, schools, offices and other services have also faced closures and changes.
The decision has created a split situation for students under the same board. Some students will face delays while others must appear as planned.
