Police said the accident occurred around 2am when a car, reportedly racing at high speed, lost control, overturned multiple times, and struck the rider’s motorcycle. The injured rider, identified as 32-year-old Farhan, sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Authorities added that the car occupants initially called for another vehicle but fled the scene, allegedly pretending to help the victim. Police are investigating to trace and arrest the suspects.

Traffic accidents remain a major concern in Karachi. In January 2026 alone, at least 82 people lost their lives, including 21 in heavy vehicle collisions. Among the victims were 60 men, nine women, 12 children, and one girl. Over 900 others sustained injuries, including 725 men, 128 women, 43 children, and 14 girls.
Other fatal accidents last month included trailer collisions (10 deaths), water tanker crashes (five deaths), bus incidents (four deaths), and individual cases involving dumpers and Mazdas.
