Fatal shooting near PU: Two friends named as suspects in FIR
LAHORE: (Web Desk) A murder case has been registered against two friends of Punjab University student Rana Ammar, who was fatally shot inside a car near the university's Gender Studies Department.

On the complaint of the victim’s father, Rana Akhtar, the FIR registered at the Muslim Town Police Station names two of Ammar’s friends, Huzaifa and Dilawar, as prime suspects.

According to the FIR, the victim s father alleged that suspects Dilawar and Huzaifa shot his son while they were inside the car. Sources revealed that the three friends were in the car when the shooting occurred, with Dilawar driving, Ammar in the front passenger seat, and Huzaifa in the back with a firearm.

Police reported that a gunshot fired inside the car hit Ammar, who was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Huzaifa fled the scene, while Dilawar took Ammar to the hospital and is currently in police custody.

Investigations are ongoing to determine whether the shooting was accidental or resulted from a dispute. The police are actively searching for Huzaifa, who remains at large.
