QUETTA: (Suno News): Unidentified armed assailants targeted a passenger bus on the national highway in Balochistan’s district Kalat, resulting in three deaths and leaving several others injured.

According to police sources, the tragic incident took place when a passenger bus traveling from Karachi to Quetta reached near Kalat. Out of nowhere, unknown attackers opened fire on the bus, and quickly fled the scene.

Initial reports reveal that three individuals lost their lives instantly in the attack, while five others were rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) for treatment. Some of the injured are said to be in critical condition.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the area, with panic spreading among the locals. Security forces and a large police contingent arrived at the scene and initiated a search operation, securing the area.
