6th International Conference on Lifestyle Medicine ICLM 2025 kicks off in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Riphah International University, in collaboration with the Pakistan Association of Lifestyle Medicine (PALM), is hosting three-day 6th International Conference on Lifestyle Medicine (ICLM) 2025.

It brings together experts, physicians, and policymakers from Pakistan and abroad to promote preventive and compassionate healthcare.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Federal Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal and Dr. Rizwan Taj, President PMDC, alongside WHO representatives and medical professionals from the region.

“Lifestyle Medicine is not an alternative—it is the foundation of sustainable healthcare,” said Dr. Beth Frates, Chair of RILM.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to preventive health, Federal Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal emphasized moving from a “SickCareSystem to HealthCareSystemApproach.”

“ICLM 2025 is not just a conference—it’s a movement toward a more compassionate, community-centered healthcare model,” said Dr. Shagufta Feroz, Director RILM.

The conference includes workshops, plenary talks, and sessions on nutrition, movement, mindfulness, emotional resilience, and social connection. It will conclude with the “Islamabad Declaration”, aiming to integrate Lifestyle Medicine into national healthcare policy and education. PR
