4,500 medical, 1,100 dental seats as colleges reveal admission schedule

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) will manage centralised admissions under the Punjab government’s policy, covering private medical and dental colleges across the province.

MBBS admissions to open on October 23

Students can apply for MBBS programmes at private medical colleges from October 23 to November 6. The merit list for medical colleges in Lahore and other parts of Punjab will be announced on November 18.

The province has 4,500 MBBS seats available across 34 private medical colleges. The centralised admission process will be used to manage applications under the provincial government’s policy.

UHS to manage centralised admission process

The University of Health Sciences has issued the schedule for private medical and dental college admissions. Under the centralised system, applications and selection will follow the announced provincial admission policy.

Private dental college admissions in December

Applications for Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programmes will be accepted from December 18, 2026, to January 1, 2027. The first selection list for private dental colleges is scheduled to be announced on January 13, 2027.

The schedule gives students a separate application period for dental programmes after the MBBS application process. Applicants should keep track of the dates to avoid missing the deadline.

1,100 BDS seats available across Punjab

A total of 1,100 BDS seats are available across 18 private dental colleges in Lahore and other districts of Punjab. These seats will be filled through the announced admission process.

The centralised system is intended to organise admissions across private institutions under a common policy. Students should rely on official UHS announcements for updates about applications, merit lists and selection.
