KARACHI: Every day, thousands of women in Pakistan struggle to access essential maternal healthcare, putting countless lives at risk. LIPTON Teas & Infusions, in partnership with the Patients’ Aid Foundation at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), is stepping up to bridge this gap.

Strengthening its commitment to women’s health, LIPTON Teas and Infusions is continuing its Rs. 10 million annual donation in 2024, ensuring that thousands of underprivileged women across Sindh and Balochistan receive critical, life-saving medical care. Having already contributed Rs. 5 million this year, LIPTON Teas and Infusions remains dedicated to making maternal healthcare more accessible and impactful.

As part of its commitment to accessible healthcare, LIPTON Teas and Infusions aims to provide free treatment to 10,000 underprivileged women at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC). In just the last seven months, the life-saving machines donated by Lipton have already helped treat approximately 5,665 women at the JPMC Women’s Wing, bringing quality healthcare to those who need it most.

With a focus on improving surgical and maternity services, LIPTON Teas and Infusions has donated essential medical equipment, including an anesthesia machine, a diathermy machine, three suction machines, and two capnograph monitors. These life-saving machines are enhancing the quality of medical procedures and ensuring safer deliveries. By strengthening JPMC’s healthcare capabilities, Lipton is playing a vital role in reducing maternal and infant mortality rates, offering expecting mothers and their newborns a better chance at survival.

Mushtaq Chappra, Chairman of Patients’ Aid Foundation, praised the ongoing partnership, stating that strong collaborations drive meaningful impact, and with Lipton’s support, maternal healthcare is becoming more accessible. He emphasized that the initiative is saving lives and strengthening Pakistan’s public health system.

Farheen Salman Amir, CEO of LIPTON Teas & Infusions Pakistan, reaffirmed the brand’s long-term vision, stating that the company’s mission extends beyond offering a great cup of tea—it is about driving positive change. She highlighted that the company’s continued support for maternal healthcare reflects its commitment to nourishing lives and building healthier communities.

Despite healthcare being a fundamental right, millions of women in Pakistan still struggle to access basic maternal services. LIPTON Teas & Infusions is committed to bridging this gap through its continued investment in Women’s Healthcare in Pakistan. With another Rs. 5 million to be donated in 2025, LIPTON Teas and Infusions’ growing partnership with Patients’ Aid reinforces its dedication to making a lasting difference in women s lives, ensuring more mothers and babies receive the care they deserve.
