Mustafa Kamal says Pakistan committed to polio eradication
Minister for National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination Syed Mustafa Kamal has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to eliminating polio from the country through improved vaccination campaigns and better coordination.
He expressed these views during a meeting with Dr. Chris Elias, Chairman of the Polio Oversight Board, held in Geneva, where both sides discussed ongoing polio eradication efforts and cooperation in Pakistan’s health sector.
According to a spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, the meeting focused on improving campaign quality and strengthening strategies to ensure a polio-free Pakistan in the near future.
Mustafa Kamal said that major reforms are being introduced in the health sector under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, aimed at improving healthcare delivery across the country.
