(Web Desk): Multiple award-winning Pakistan Television (PTV) actor Ishrat Abbas died on Saturday, leaving behind decades-long legacy of incredible performances.

Ishrat Abbas death news was confirmed by his family, who further said that his funeral prayers will be held today (September 13) at 11 am in Government College Faqirabad, Peshawar.

Abbas, one of the familiar faces of the state-owned PTV in its heyday, was respected for his all-round work in drama serials, stage plays, and cultural events. He was born in Peshawar and started his professional life in the theatre before turning to television, where he made a lasting impact. He later worked with some of Pakistan s biggest drama stars and gained respect for his commitment to the performing arts.

Colleagues and followers showed profound sorrow at his death, recalling him not just as a skilled artist but also as a humble and gracious human being. Followers termed him as one of the legendary stars of PTV who had left an ever-lasting impression on the entertainment history of the nation.
