Sheema Kermani calls for collective responsibility in waste management
The "Safai Ke Safeer" campaign is part of SSWMB's social mobilization initiative aimed at promoting responsible waste management practices and encouraging citizens to adopt cleaner habits through the support of respected public figures from different walks of life.
In her video message, Sheema Kermani emphasized that beautiful cities reflect the identity of a nation, describing Karachi as the heart of Pakistan whose vitality depends on a clean and healthy environment. She said that effective waste management cannot be achieved by any single institution alone and called upon every citizen to become an active partner in maintaining cleanliness. She urged people to dispose of waste responsibly, minimize waste generation wherever possible, and promote the reuse and recycling of recyclable materials to help build a cleaner and healthier city.
