Tom Holland opens up about Marvel’s secret plan
Tom Holland, who has played Spider-Man since 2016, has shared that Marvel Studios has been preparing for the future of the character for several years.
Speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Holland said the plan has been in development since the team completed “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
He explained that Marvel has carefully mapped out what will happen when his time as Spider-Man eventually comes to an end.
A five-year plan is already in place
According to Holland, the roadmap has been in progress for about five years.
He said the story is well planned, although changes could still happen as new ideas develop. Holland added that he has a clear vision of how Spider-Man’s journey could continue after his departure.
The actor described it as a “passing of the baton,” suggesting that another hero may eventually take over the famous role.

Miles Morales could play a bigger role
Holland’s comments have increased speculation that Miles Morales could become the next live-action Spider-Man.
Miles Morales is already a popular character in Sony’s animated Spider-Verse films. Holland has previously said he would love to help introduce Miles Morales into the live-action Marvel universe and support the young actor who eventually takes on the role.
His latest comments have made fans even more curious about what Marvel is planning next.
Kevin Feige also hints at the future
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has also spoken about the future of Spider-Man.
He recently confirmed that Marvel has plans for a live-action version of Miles Morales. However, he suggested that the character will likely join the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Sony’s Spider-Verse film series comes to an end.
Although no official timeline has been announced, Feige’s remarks match Holland’s comments about Marvel preparing for the next chapter of Spider-Man’s story.
