Harry Styles’ latest tour ticket has caused a wave of reactions online, but the controversy is not about his music.
A ticket for his September 9 Together, Together Tour show at Madison Square Garden featured a striking image of a yellow car appearing to carry the singer above the Empire State Building.
The artwork shows the car flying over the famous New York landmark while leaving a trail across its spire.
The unusual design quickly caught fans’ attention because of its timing.
Why the timing became controversial
The artwork appeared just two days before the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
New York was preparing to remember the nearly 3,000 people who died in the 2001 terrorist attacks.
Some social media users questioned why such an image was selected for a New York show so close to the anniversary.
“putting that on the back the week of 9/11 is f–king insane it’s cute but i fear that was not a good idea,” one user wrote.
Another described the design as “A little bold given its 9/11 week in NYC.”
A third user questioned the decision by simply asking, “literally who approved this?”
The reactions quickly turned the ticket artwork into an unexpected talking point surrounding the singer’s New York residency.

More shows are still coming
Despite the backlash, Harry Styles continues his major run of shows at Madison Square Garden.
His 30-night residency began on August 26 and is scheduled to continue through October 31.
The singer has also teased another major announcement for fans.
Styles said he will reveal additional 2027 tour dates on September 10.
He described the decision as “daunting” but also said he feels “like the luckiest person in the world to still be sharing these moments with [his fans].”
What comes next for Styles?
While announcing the upcoming dates, Styles also admitted that he is uncertain about what his future plans will be after the tour.
“After that, I don’t know what comes next for me,” he said.
He added that he is “excited to find out.”
For now, the singer remains focused on his ongoing New York shows and the next phase of his tour.
The artwork controversy, however, has added an unexpected layer to his current residency.
