In a detailed op-ed, Hayat explained that celebrity activism should focus on humanitarian causes. She noted that Chopra, as a UNICEF ambassador, should avoid political statements that could mislead or divide people.
Hayat highlighted that such actions show how celebrity activism can be misused, even unintentionally.
Hayat added that while Chopra’s actions did draw attention to issues like the Kashmir crisis, the approach was flawed. She emphasized that celebrities must be aware of their social responsibility and use their influence carefully to promote peace and understanding.

Speaking about her own work, Hayat shared that she strives to use her fame to unite people rather than create controversy.
