‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ director Ali Abbas Zafar claims non-payment of fee

MUMBAI: (Web Desk) The crew of film “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” including director Ali Abbas Zafar accused Vashu Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment, now headed by son Jackky Bhagnani, of not clearing their dues.

After the film’s director Ali Abbas Zafar also filed a complain against the producers, now the matter has reached the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE).

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan which starred Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in lead roles failed to succeed commercially, The Indian Express revealed.

Following this, many were involved with the film’s production, especially on the technical side had to go through the nightmare of not getting paid for the work they put into the film.

FWICE has taken this and many other complaints against Pooja Entertainment into consideration. The statement says, “There have been certain speculations going on in the media regarding non-payment of dues to the technicians, workers, artists, and vendor by Vashu Bhagnani – Producer of M/s. Pooja Entertainment. We would therefore like to make certain clarifications in the above regard. FWICE has received complaints from our various affiliated associations belonging to different crafts.”

The statement further reads “Director Tinu Desai has filed a complaint for not being paid the balance amount towards his remuneration of Film ‘MISSION RANIGANJ’ which was released on 6th of Oct. 2023. Our constant follow-ups on Tinu Desai’s matter have not yielded any results to date. We have also received individual complaints from the technical crew and vendors of the Film ‘GANPAT’ which was directed by Mr. Vikas Behl and was released on 20th Oct 2023.”
