Kodu, known for his small stature, gained immense fame in the stage drama industry due to his character.

Javed Kodu began his artistic journey in 1981 with the famous stage drama "Soday Baz."​

His notable works include Ainaak Wala Jin and Ashiyana. Kodu also appeared in over 150 Punjabi and Urdu films over a 45-year career.​

In recent years, Kodu faced several health issues, including a brain hemorrhage, paralysis, heart problems, and a recent accident where he suffered a bone fracture.
