Nixon s outfit immediately drew widespread attention online. Pro-Palestinian supporters praised her for using her platform to raise awareness about Israel s ongoing military actions in Gaza, while critics — including pro-Israel voices and right-wing commentators — accused her of ignoring Hamas’s actions and being insensitive to Israeli victims.

The 59-year-old actress has been an outspoken critic of Israel s military campaign in Gaza since the conflict intensified in October 2023.
