As per Indian media reports, Suhana purchased agricultural land in Alibaug, Maharashtra, in violation of state land laws.
Suhana, who is making her debut on the big screen in the movie King, purchased a plot in Thal village worth ₹12.91 crore. The property, however, had initially been allotted by the government for agricultural purposes only.
The house was purchased by three sisters Anjali, Rekha, and Priya, who had inherited it from their parents. Reports are that Suhana paid ₹77.46 lakh in stamp duty on registration. Questions have now arisen after the authorities found that in the papers, she was referred to as a "farmer," mandatory under Maharashtra law for buying agricultural land.
The plot was said to have been registered in the name of Deja Vu Farm Pvt Ltd, an entity associated with Suhana s grandmother (Gauri Khan s mother) and sister-in-law. The authorities, headed by Resident Deputy Collector Sandesh, have directed Alibag Tehsildar to draw an unbiased report on the issue.

This is not Suhana Khan s first Alibaug investment. Less than a year after the initial acquisition, she allegedly purchased another beach house worth ₹10 crore, taking her total investments in land along the coast to almost ₹22 crore between 2023 and 2024.
The recent scrutiny has also raised doubts over whether regulations blocking non-farmers from purchasing farming lands in Maharashtra were bypassed. The officials have confirmed that the deals are under process to ascertain any legal infringements.
