Gold price jumps Rs4,200 per tola as global rates surge
Gold and silver prices have increased further in both international and local markets, with gold recording another major jump on Wednesday.
In the international market, gold rose by $42 per ounce to reach $4,415. The latest increase follows a $24 gain a day earlier, when the international gold price reached $4,373 per ounce.
The rise in global prices has also pushed gold rates higher in Pakistan’s local bullion market.
The price of one tola of gold increased by Rs4,200, reaching Rs463,936. The price of 10 grams of gold also climbed by Rs3,601 to Rs397,750.
Silver prices moved higher as well. One tola of silver became Rs146 more expensive, reaching Rs7,111.
The latest increase comes after another significant rise in local gold prices on Tuesday. The price of one tola had increased by Rs2,400 to Rs459,736, while the price of 10 grams rose by Rs2,058 to Rs394,149.
The continued rise in bullion prices is likely to attract the attention of investors, jewelers and consumers who are considering buying or selling precious metals.
Gold prices in Pakistan generally reflect international market trends, while currency movements and local market conditions can also influence domestic rates.
The fresh increase means gold has continued its upward movement for another day, keeping the precious metals market under close watch.
Market participants will now be watching international gold prices and currency trends to determine whether the rally continues or prices begin to stabilize in the coming sessions.
