(Web Desk): Gold prices in Pakistan rose again, while silver rates also moved higher, giving fresh attention to the local precious metals market.

The price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs800 per tola, taking the new rate to Rs462,936, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

The latest increase means gold has continued to move upward in the local market. The change may attract buyers and investors who are closely watching precious metal prices.

The price of 24-karat gold also increased for 10 grams. It went up by Rs686 to reach Rs396,893.

Meanwhile, 22-karat gold also became more expensive. The price for 10 grams increased by Rs629, taking the rate to Rs363,831.

These changes show that the rise was not limited to one gold category. Both 24-karat and 22-karat gold recorded increases in their latest rates.

International gold prices

Gold prices also moved higher in the international market, supporting the upward trend seen in Pakistan.

The price of gold in the global bullion market increased by $8 and reached $4,404 per ounce.

International movements are closely watched by the local precious metals market. Changes in global gold prices can influence domestic rates along with other market factors.

The latest global increase therefore adds another important development for people following gold prices in Pakistan.

Silver prices also increase

Silver prices in Pakistan also followed the upward trend recorded in gold.

The price of 24-karat silver increased by Rs72, reaching Rs7,141.

The rate of 10 grams of silver also moved higher. It increased by Rs62 and reached Rs6,122.

The rise in both gold and silver prices means buyers are now facing higher rates across the major precious metals.

For people planning to purchase jewellery, bullion or silver items, even a small daily change can affect the final amount they have to pay.

What the latest move means

The latest figures point to another upward move in Pakistan’s precious metals market.

Gold remains particularly important for Pakistani households, where it is commonly bought as jewellery and also viewed as a way to preserve savings.

However, prices can change frequently because the market responds to movements in international bullion prices and other market conditions.

The increase in international gold prices is therefore an important factor behind the latest attention on domestic rates.

For now, 24-karat gold stands at Rs462,936 per tola, while 24-karat silver is available at Rs7,141.
