ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): The Pakistani Rupee appreciated by 04 paisa against the US Dollar in interbank trading to close at Rs282.41, compared to the previous Rs282.45.

In the open market, however, the Forex Association of Pakistan reported the buying rate of the dollar at Rs284.2 and the selling rate at Rs285.7, indicating a higher demand in retail trading.

The Euro also weakened against the Rupee, shedding 68 paisa to close at Rs328.15 from Rs328.83, as per the State Bank of Pakistan.

The Japanese Yen slipped by 01 paisa to Rs1.90, while the British Pound remained steady at Rs380.07. Meanwhile, the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal each dipped by 01 paisa, settling at Rs76.89 and Rs75.25 respectively.
