Gold prices reach all-time high in Pakistan

LAHORE: (Suno News) The price of gold in Pakistan has increased by another Rs1,900 per tola, bringing the new price of one tola of gold to Rs294,300.

After a sharp rise in gold prices in the global market, the trend of increasing gold prices continued across the country today. One tola of gold reached the highest level of Rs294,300, while 10 grams of gold became Rs1,629 more expensive, now costing Rs252,314.

In the global market, the price of gold rose by 16 dollars per ounce, and one ounce of gold is now trading at 2,815 dollars.

Meanwhile, in the currency market, the value of the Pakistani rupee increased, and the dollar became 8 paise cheaper in the interbank market, closing at Rs278.96.

On the other hand, the second day of the business week also saw a decline. The stock market recorded a decrease of 809 points, with the Hundred Index closing at 111,935 points.

The trading volume was 43.63 million shares, with deals worth 23 billion rupees completed. The value of shares decreased by 106 billion rupees, and the market capitalization closed at 13,827 billion rupees.
