According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the per tola price of 24-karat gold sold at Rs268,500 compared to its sale at Rs267,700 on the last trading day.
The association further reported that the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also increased to Rs230,195 from Rs229,510. The price of 10 gram 22-karat gold increased to Rs211,012 from Rs210,384, it maintained.
The price of per tola and ten gram silver remained unchanged at Rs.2,950 and Rs.2,529.14, respectively.
In the international market, gold price regained positive traction following the previous day s pullback from the all-time peak and builds on its steady intraday ascent heading into the European session, according to FX Street.
The US Dollar (USD) witnessed an intraday turnaround from a one-week high and for now, seems to have stalled its recovery from the lowest level since July 2023 touched the previous day, it maintained. This, along with concerns about an economic downturn in the United States (US) and China, along with the risk of a further escalation of tensions in the Middle East, drive some haven flows towards the precious metal, it noted.
