Chicken meat price falls by Rs78 to Rs470, becomes cheaper by Rs227 per kg in three weeks

LAHORE: (Web Desk) The price of chicken meat has decreased by Rs78 to Rs470 per kg in Lahore today against yesterday’s price of Rs548 per kg.

According to the Pakistan Poultry Association, chicken meat has become cheaper by Rs227 per kg in three weeks.

The poultry association says the chicken meat prices have fallen due to a decrease in demand.

Similarly, the prices of vegetables also continue to fluctuate. The official price of onion has been set at Rs110 per kg while the sale of the class-1 dry onion continues at Rs160 per kg.

Tomatoes have become expensive by Rs5 per kg. The official price of tomato has gone up to Rs95 per kg while the sale of the class-1 tomatoes continues at Rs140 per kg.

The official price of Garlic China is set at Rs640 per kg while garlic is being sold at Rs740 per kg in the market.

The official price of Ginger China has been fixed at Rs600 while ginger is being sold at up to Rs700 per kg in the market.

In the official rate list, the price of green chilli has been reduced to Rs105 per kg while it is being sold in the market at Rs150 per kg.

The official price of Lemon China has been fixed at Rs230 per kg while lemons are being sold at up to Rs300 per kg in the market.

The official price of potato has been set at Rs75 per kg while the class-1 potatoes are being sold at Rs120 per kg.

On the other hand, the prices of pulses remained stable in Lahore. The retail price of pulses and chickpeas rose to Rs240 per kg. Maash daal is available at Rs640 per kg.

The price of peanuts has been fixed at Rs320 per kg while masoor dal sells at Rs320 per kg. The price of black chickpeas has been fixed at Rs230 per kg.

The price of ghee went down to Rs375 per kg. The wholesale price of sugar also declined to Rs140 per kg.

According to shopkeepers, the retail price of sugar is Rs150 per kg while rice is available at Rs250 per kg.
