Today’s gold rates in Pakistan: Why traders are waiting for next big move

KARACHI (Web Desk): The price of 24 karat gold per tola stayed unchanged at Rs423,062 in the local market, keeping investors curious about the next shift.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the rate of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also remained firm at Rs362,707. Similarly, 10 grams of 22 karat gold were traded at Rs332,493, showing no variation from the previous day.

In the international market, gold prices held still at $4,007 per ounce, reflecting a day of calm trading. The same trend was seen in silver, where 24 karat silver per tola sold at Rs5,112 and 10 grams at Rs4,382. Globally, silver was recorded at $48.50 per ounce, showing no change.

Experts said the local gold rates were based on the interbank exchange rate, with a 999 purity standard for 24 karat gold.

The steady prices hint that both local and global gold markets are in a waiting phase. Investors are watching closely for any major economic or currency movements that could trigger the next big price swing. For now, stability rules — but not for long, say market watchers.
