(Web Desk): Recent claims that holders of the cryptocurrency Toncoin can obtain the UAE’s coveted Golden Visa have been firmly denied by UAE authorities.

It was made clear in a joint statement by the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP), the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), and the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (Vara) that the Golden Visa is only available to specific groups such as real estate investors, entrepreneurs, top talents, scientists, exceptional students, humanitarian leaders, and frontline workers. Investors in digital currencies are not in the list.

This clarification came after Max Crown, CEO of the Ton Foundation, posted on social media that by staking TON and paying a one-time fee of $35,000, Toncoin holders could secure a 10-year UAE Golden Visa.

The authorities quickly denied these claims, stating that they are false. Vara emphasized that Ton is neither licensed nor regulated by their agency. They also reminded that any legitimate application must follow official government visa procedures in Dubai.

The SCA urged investors to steer clear of misleading or fraudulent offers spreading on social media and only trust official government announcements.

The agencies stressed that digital asset investments remain tightly regulated and have no connection with the Golden Visa program.

About the Golden Visa, the public is encouraged to visit the official ICP website or trusted government platforms for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
