
During the meeting, the approval of budget targets for the upcoming fiscal year will be on the agenda.
The Council will also review the National Development Plan, the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), and macro-economic targets. In addition, goals for GDP growth, agriculture, industry, and the services sector for the nebudget 2025-26xt fiscal year are expected to be approved.
According to sources, the national development budget for the upcoming fiscal year is expected to be set at around Rs4 trillion, with Rs1 trillion allocated for the PSDP. Representatives from both the federal and provincial governments will attend the meeting.

Sources further revealed that the planning committee has already approved a PSDP allocation of Rs1 trillion and set a GDP growth target of 4.2% for the next fiscal year.
Previously, the NEC meeting was scheduled for June 5.
