
According to the notification, vehicles without an M-Tag or with insufficient balance will now be charged 50% extra. These additional toll charges will take effect from June 15, 2025, across all motorways.
Under the revised rates:
The new toll for cars on the Islamabad–Lahore Motorway (M-2) is set at Rs1,800.
On the Lahore–Abdul Hakeem M-3, the new toll is Rs1,200.
From Pindi Bhattian to Multan via M-4, car tolls will now be Rs1,600.
On the Multan–Sukkur M-5, the new rate is Rs1,800.
The toll on the DI Khan to Hakla M-14 route is now Rs1,000.
Meanwhile, cars traveling on the Hassan Abdal–Mansehra Expressway (E-35) will pay Rs450.
For commercial vehicles:
2-axle and 3-axle trucks will pay Rs7,900 on the Lahore–Islamabad route.
For articulated trucks, the new toll has been fixed at Rs10,200.

Officials cite rising operational costs, enhanced security measures, and road maintenance as reasons for the hike. Additionally, the move aims to promote the use of the M-Tag system and improve traffic management.
The extra toll charges for non-M-Tagged vehicles are part of this broader strategy to encourage e-tagging and digital toll collection.
Transporters, however, have voiced concern over the policy, urging the government to review the new toll rates, especially seeking concessions for commercial and business-related travel.
