New updates regarding issuance of Pakistan’s new currency notes

Web Desk: New major update regarding the issuance of new currency notes of Pakistan has revealed, showing that all preparations are nearly complete.

State Bank of Pakistan is preparing to introduce Pakistan’s new currency notes. According to details the new currency notes are featured with advanced security measures to prevent counterfeiting and align with international standards.

All the technical and administrative arrangements have already been completed, but the launch is on hold until the final design is approved.

The Security Printing Corporation has confirmed that all the machinery is ready for printing of new currency notes of Pakistan, the printing will start immediately when the design will be finalized.

Officials have estimated that the printing of new currency notes will take at least two months to be completed.

Initial consultations between the State Bank and the Security Printing Corporation have been conducted regarding the production of Pakistan’s new currency notes.

Authorities yet have to decide whether the notes will be released in phases or all at once. A formal timeline for printing is expected later this year.

Sources say that various designs for Pakistan’s new currency notes have been shortlisted and sent to the government.

The final printing order will only be issued after approval from federal cabinet. If all things will go according to schedule, the notes could be released to the public by the end of 2026.
