Mango exports delayed for this year
Pakistan has officially postponed the start of its mango export season for 2026, with shipments now set to begin on June 1, following a notification issued by the Ministry of Commerce.
According to the ministry, the revised date applies specifically to the upcoming mango crop, while all other export conditions will remain unchanged under the current policy framework. The adjustment comes after requests from industry stakeholders, suggesting concerns related to crop maturity, quality control, or supply readiness.
Traditionally, Pakistan’s mango export season begins in the final week of May. In 2025, exports were allowed from May 25. However, this year’s delay signals a cautious approach aimed at ensuring better fruit quality and maintaining the country’s reputation in international markets.
