Iran launched airstrikes on dozens of Israeli targets early Friday morning. Israel also targeted the headquarters of the Revolutionary Guards, killing Revolutionary Guards commander Hossein Salami, nuclear scientists Fereydoon Abbasi, and Mohammad Mahdi.

Following the Israeli attack on Iran, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued an important statement, saying that Israel had taken unilateral action against Iran and that the United States was not involved in the attacks against Iran.
The US Secretary of State said that our priority is the protection of US forces in the region. Israel told us that action against Iran was necessary for self-defense.

It should be noted that Israel has launched a formal war against Iran, with airstrikes targeting nuclear and six military bases.
