(Web Desk): Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have conveyed solace from the bottom of their hearts after the devastating crash of Air India’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, Flight AI-171.

It had 242 passengers on the plane when it went down on Thursday in Ahmedabad.

PIA posted on X (formally twitter): “Our hearts go out to the families & loved ones affected by today’s tragic crash. At #PIA, we stand in solidarity with our fellow aviation community, offering our deepest condolences to Flight 171 and all those impacted.”

PIA’s sympathies come as global aviation struggles with heartbreaking news. This is one of the most disastrous aviation catastrophes that has fallen on India in its aircraft flight history.

It must be remembered that the ill-fated Boeing 787 Dreamliner departed from Ahmedabad at 1:38 PM and tragically went down just five minutes later, crashing into a residential area in Meghani Nagar. The aircraft was being piloted by Captain Sumit Sabharwal, with Clive Kunder as co-pilot.

The flight was carrying 232 passengers—230 adults and 2 infants—along with 12 crew members, bringing the total number of people on board to 242.

As Flight AI-171 crashed soon after it took off for London, ubiquitous demolition and enormous explosions occurred. Even though search and rescue operations are still being carried on, officials have established that there is only one survivor with more than 200 victims.
