
According to local officials, the aircraft was en route to pick up a patient from a nearby hospital when it went down shortly before reaching its destination. The victims included the pilot and three crew members, all of whom died at the scene.
Emergency services quickly attended to the site, but there were no survivors. The identities of the victims remain unknown pending notification to their families, according to the authorities.
"These were individuals who spent their lives trying to save others, and their loss is deeply felt throughout the Navajo Nation," stated Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren in a social media post on platform X.

The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has initiated an inquiry to find the reason behind the crash. Authorities stated that the investigators will study the wreckage, analyze flight data and interview witnesses to identify the sequence of events before the disaster.
Medical transport flights are an important connection for rural and remote areas, offering quick transfer of the patient to larger medical centers. Local government officials have released condolences to the victims families, complimenting the dedication of the medical transport crew members who died serving others.
