ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): PMD has predicted heavy rains across Pakistan on 9th and 10th Muharram.

According to the PMD spokesperson, there is a possibility of heavy rains in various districts of Pakistan including Punjab, KPK, GB, Kashmir and Islamabad from July 5. So, the administration of Muharram processions should take precautionary measures.

The spokesperson said that people should stay away from electricity poles and wires, avoid gatherings on dilapidated roofs, and avoid crossing rivers and streams as much as possible.

There are chances of light drizzle in Karachi and Hyderabad during morning and nights.

According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon winds are entering the southern parts of Sindh, under which there is a possibility of rain with thunderstorms in the districts of Tharparkar, Umerkot, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, Jamshoro, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Mirpurkhas and Hyderabad today.

In addition, light rain is expected in Sanghar, Shaheed Benazirabad, Dadu, Khairpur and Sukkur, while partly cloudy, hot and humid weather is likely to persist in other areas of Sindh.
