ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) Pakistanis who survived the Morocco shipwreck have made shocking revelations, stating that the incident was not a mere accident but a massacre.

21 Pakistan national survived a boat accident in the Atlantic Sea, off the coast of Morocco last week, in which at least around 50 people, including a number of Pakistanis were killed, the Foreign Office (FO) confirmed on Sunday.

Sources indicate that significant progress has been made in the investigation of the Morocco shipwreck, with a four-member committee in Morocco recording initial statements from the survivors. The team includes the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, the Director of North Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Intelligence Bureau (IB).

According to sources, the ship was under the control of an international human trafficking racket, involving smugglers from Senegal, Mauritania, and Morocco. The survivors told the team that the incident was not an accident, but rather a massacre. The perpetrators had stopped the ship in the open sea and demanded ransom. The 21 Pakistanis who paid the ransom were released.

The survivors further revealed that most of the passengers died due to the cold weather and violence, while the group also faced severe food shortages.
