The United Arab Emirates has strongly denied reports suggesting changes to the residency status of Iranian nationals living in the country. Officials said such claims circulating in the media are inaccurate and misleading.
Earlier reports had claimed that visas of Iranian residents were being cancelled due to rising tensions in the region. However, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that no such actions have been taken.
In an official statement, the ministry said the Iranian community remains a respected and valued part of the UAE’s society. It added that all residents are treated equally under established laws and procedures.

Authorities stressed that the safety and well-being of all residents remain a top priority. They assured that no group is being targeted or treated unfairly.
The ministry also highlighted that people from more than 200 countries live in the UAE, contributing to its diverse and open society. Iranian nationals continue to play an important role in this community.
This clarification comes at a time of increased regional tensions, which have led to speculation about possible policy changes. Officials said there is no change in residency rules and urged people not to believe unverified reports.
