(Web Desk): The UAE has shut its embassy in Tehran and recalled diplomatic staff following Iranian attacks, citing national security and sovereignty concerns.

The United Arab Emirates has announced the closure of its embassy in Tehran after recent Iranian attacks, saying the decision was taken to protect national security and sovereignty.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that it has decided to shut the embassy in Iran’s capital and withdraw the ambassador along with diplomatic staff. Officials said the move follows heightened regional tensions and security developments in the aftermath of missile strikes.

The ministry strongly condemned the Iranian missile attacks, describing them as a violation of the UAE’s sovereignty and national security. It stressed that safeguarding the country’s stability and protecting diplomatic personnel were top priorities in taking the decision.

Authorities added that diplomatic operations in Tehran would remain suspended until further notice, and the situation will be reviewed based on future developments. No timeline was provided for reopening the mission.
