UAE airports and Emirates flights suspended till 3 March amid Middle East tensions

Abu Dhabi (Web Desk): Dubai Airport and other UAE airports face massive disruptions as Emirates flights and other carriers suspend operations due to regional airspace closures until March 3.

Air travel across the UAE remains heavily disrupted, leaving thousands of passengers stranded at Dubai Airport, Abu Dhabi Airport, and other major hubs.

Emirates flights, Etihad Airways, flydubai, and Air Arabia have all halted operations, forcing travelers to wait for updates.

Dubai Airport confirmed that both Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) have suspended flights.

Zayed International Airport and Sharjah International Airport also stopped operations, advising travelers to contact their airlines before heading to the airports.

The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) said closures were necessary after assessing security and operational risks. Passenger safety and airspace protection remain top priorities.

The GCAA is coordinating with UAE airports and airlines to manage schedules, activate emergency plans, and ensure a smooth return to normal operations.

Emirates flights to and from Dubai are suspended until 15 00 on March 3. Passengers can rebook up to March 20 or request refunds.

Etihad flights from Abu Dhabi are halted until 14 00 UAE time on March 3, with rebooking or refunds available until March 18. flydubai and Air Arabia have also paused flights, affecting some regional routes until March 4.

International carriers including Air India, IndiGo, Air India Express, and Pakistan International Airlines have canceled or rerouted flights to UAE airports. Travelers are advised to check flight status and stay in touch with their airlines.

The UAE government has arranged accommodation, meals, and refreshments for stranded passengers. Over 20,200 travelers were assisted in the last few hours through rerouting, rescheduling, and better terminal management. Passengers are urged to follow official updates via UAE airports and airlines.
