(Web Desk): US President Donald Trump has defended military action against Iran, warning of more casualties and promising continued operations amid escalating tensions.

US President Donald Trump has justified the ongoing military operation against Iran, saying it is necessary to secure America’s long-term safety and protect future generations.

In a video message posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump acknowledged the deaths of three US troops and warned that additional casualties are likely as operations continue.

“Sadly, there will likely be more before it ends,” Trump said, adding that the United States would avenge the deaths and deliver what he described as a strong response against groups responsible for attacks.

He claimed that the campaign is progressing rapidly and stated that multiple regional targets have been struck. Trump also asserted in remarks to media outlets that major Iranian naval assets had been destroyed, including ships and facilities — though these claims have not been independently verified.

The US president said the operation is aimed at preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons and eliminating threats to global security. He emphasized that the mission is not only for current security but also for future generations.

Senior administration officials are expected to present the case for the military action before the US Congress in the coming days.

Neither the Pentagon nor Iranian authorities have confirmed the battlefield claims made by Trump.
